Code of Conduct


The Sales Association Code of Conduct was adopted to promote productive communication and to maximize the organization's impact for the member.   In joining The Sales Association, the member agrees to abide by the following Codes of Conduct, thereby promoting a productive environment at association events, ensuring confidentiality among the membership and promoting goodwill in the community for members of our profession.

As a member of The Sales Association, I pledge to:

  • Not sell my product or services at Sales Association events.   The Sales Association encourages you to build, foster and grow business relationships at events but specifically denies permission to "sell" products or services.  Association events are designed for the professional development of the individual member and not as a solicitation opportunity to sell specific products or services.  The Sales Association does offers formal  sponsorship and advertising opportunities designed to allow members to share information on specific products and services.  
  • Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information that I may obtain as a member of The Sales Association.
  • Strive for personal growth and continuing education as a sales and business development professional.
  • Conduct my business affairs with professionalism, honesty and integrity.

The Sales Association shall uphold these codes and will strive to resolve disputes in a fair and expeditious manner.
